Sean Connery
Diamonds are Forever
"Diamonds Are Forever," starring Seam Connery is based on Ian Fleming's novel of the same name and follows James Bond as he investigates a diamond smuggling operation. Much of the film was shot throughout Las Vegas, including along the Strip, Fremont Street, in Circus Circus, The Tropicana and the Las Vegas Hilton (now Westgate).

Connery was already a massive star by this point, and his presence in the city drew attention from both fans and local residents.
Las Vegas itself was undergoing a major transformation in the early 1970s, transitioning from its mob-controlled roots to a more corporate-driven entertainment hub.

The city’s casinos were filled with stars, and the production of "Diamonds Are Forever" brought even more celebrity buzz to the town. Connery’s time in Vegas, as well as the filming process, is often remembered for how much the city’s culture influenced the film's aesthetic.
