The Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon was a long-running Labor Day weekend tradition that raised funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), with comedian and entertainer Jerry Lewis at the helm as host for over 40 years.

 

One of the most memorable and iconic moments in the history of the telethon occurred in 1976, when Frank Sinatra orchestrated a surprise reunion between Jerry Lewis and his former comedy partner, Dean Martin.​
